Toura Golf has three main wedge lines: A-Spec, S-Spec and F-Spec.
Each has its own unique traits and the below provides information on each of these wedge lines to help you pick the one that is best for you.
Our new line of 1020 forged carbon steel wedges come in both blank and TG limited edition versions. In both cases, these wedges are perfect for those looking for an ultra modern/ minimalist look. These wedges feature a classic compact head shape design mixed with modern performance and features. This wedge features a laser-line milled face and comes with a black finish.
Blank Specs: 1020 forged carbon steel, laser-lined face, mid-bounce for increased versatility, right handed only in 52/10 - 56/12 - 60/8 (degree/ bounce). Blank A-Spec wedges are often purchased by those looking to custom laser their own one of a kind set.
Branded Specs: 1020 forged carbon steel, fits .370 shaft, laser-lined face, mid-bounce for increased versatility, right handed only in 52/10 - 56/12 - 60/8 (degree/ bounce).
Playing profile: The A-Spec wedge is a workhorse with a compact head. It is an all around wedge designed for mid to low handicappers. The bounce on the A-Spec is higher than the S-Spec (our least forgiving wedge) but is similar to the F-Spec. It has a thin top line and classic gamer head shape, but the leading edge is less sharp when compared to the S-Spec allowing for slightly more forgiveness. If you have played top tier OEM wedges, this will feel very familiar in your hands.
The all new S-Spec wedge combines the best of all worlds with a compact classic head shape and aggressive face milling. The S-Spec wedge is a forged 1020 carbon steel wedge with a black brushed, light gloss finish. This wedge comes blank without any logos or markings (other than the club degree). Keep it blank and ultra-modern/ post branded, or customize to your heart’s desire, the possibilities are endless and this wedge is made to perform.
Specs: Forged 1020 Carbon Steel, Fits .370 Shaft, Lower Bounce, Black Finish, Fully Milled Face
Loft: 52 - Bounce: 8 - Lie 64
Loft: 56 - Bounce: 10 - Lie: 64
Loft: 60 - Bounce: 8 - Lie: 64
Playing profile: The S-Spec wedge has the lowest bounce of all our wedges. It also has a very sharp leading edge. These characteristics allow it to have the most aggressive turf interaction of all our lines and will likely produce healthy divots. This is arguably our most rewarding wedge when when struck pure and our least forgiving wedge when poorly struck. This wedge is geared towards those with a solid wedge game and an aggressive attitude.
The Toura Golf F-Spec Wedges feature a matte black finish and have fully milled faces for added spin. With a lower price point and extremely high performance, this is an extremely popular wedge with a proven track record.
Specs: 431SS, fits .370 shaft, milled faces, matte black finish, blank/ no logo.
Loft: 52 - Bounce: 8 - Lie: 64
Loft: 56 - Bounce: 12 - Lie: 64
Loft: 60 - Bounce: 10 - Lie: 64
Playing profile: The F-Spec wedge is one of our most popular wedges. While the head design has a true compact gamer look, it is more forgiving when compared to the S-Spec with a slightly larger sweet spot. Like the A-Spec, it is designed as an all around wedge for a variety of players, with a slightly higher bounce and softer leading edge when compared to the S-Spec.
While the A-Spec is more geared towards lasering, it is less ideal for hand stamping. This is because the finish on the A-Spec is designed to be very even with minimal blemishes which makes it a great canvas for laser engraving. With this said, it also means it is less suited to the stress hand stamping can cause.
The F-Spec and S-Spec on the other hand are more suited for hand stamping. The finish on the F-Spec is more of a 'matte' black when compared to the A-Spec and S-Spec which have more 'gloss' in their finish.
In each case, these are finishes applied during the manufacturing process. Please remember that all finishes from all manufactures will eventually wear. How fast it wears will be a product of how frequently the club is played, turf conditions, and swing type.
While we do provide warranty coverage for the condition of the club finish when it arrives, we do not cover the finish once it has been played as wear will be an inevitable part of owning the club. We also do not provide warranty coverage for any undesired results when modifying our equipment from its original manufactured state.
